IRE vs ENG T20: Ireland made second upset in T20 World Cup, after West Indies now hunted for England
Ireland vs England T20 Score World Cup: England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ireland scored 157 runs in 19.2 overs. In reply, when England's team scored 105 for five in 14.3 overs, the rain came. England were left behind by five runs on the basis of the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

Ireland got the first blow in the form of Paul Stirling. He was caught by Mark Wood at the hands of Sam Curran. Sterling scored 14 runs in eight balls. After him, Lorcan Tucker returned to the pavilion. Tucker was run out after scoring 34 off 27 balls. He shared an 82-run partnership with Balbirnie for the second wicket. Tucker was dismissed for 103 runs. Harry Tactor was out on this score. After facing two balls, he returned to the pavilion without opening the account. He was caught by Jos Buttler by Mark Wood.
Balbirnie saved Ireland's pride
Captain Andrew Balbirnie was dismissed after scoring 62 off 47 balls. He hit five fours and two sixes. Balbirnie was caught by Liam Livingstone at the hands of Alex Hales. Livingstone then clean bowled George Dockrell (00 runs). Curtis Camper was dismissed for 17 runs off 11 balls. Mark Wood got him caught by Jos Buttler.
